A. “Community Trauma, Risks, and Resiliency” with Erica Tumbaga, LCSW,

Panel Discussion on historical and current community trauma and violence, risks to mental health and psychological well-being, and the importance of empowerment and resilience. Examples of community-level trauma and ways to reduce risk, heal, and overcome stigma and community grief will be addressed from mental health, community psychology theory and research, public health, and community-policing perspectives.
B. Practical Exercises to Reduce Stress & Overcome Challenges with Pierre-Etienne Vannier, MSc., CHt.
This experiential session is designed for people whose stress is affecting their quality of life. We all have natural resources that allow us to get back on our feet and balance our nervous system after a traumatic or stressful event. Come learn 3 simple, effective and self-managed exercises to reduce stress & build resilience to help you overcome challenges. These exercises can help you feel safe again and stay focused in everyday life or in time of need. All attendees will be given a free stress-reduction MP3.
