Colleen Crosby is a Certified TRE Provider and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who has worked in chiropractic settings since 1999. She began her studies at the Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing in 1996. The curriculum focused on a holistic approach to massage, exploring how personal experience and history manifest in the body. She has since studied a variety of Eastern and Western modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, Shiatsu, Breath and Energy work, and Thai massage with Saul David Ray. Additionally, her personal yoga practice over the last 20 years has greatly informed her massage work and she continues to explore ways of integrating the two. In 2014, Colleen was introduced to David Berceli’s Tension Release Exercise (TRE), and she completed her certification training with Nkem Ndefo, RN. Colleen integrates TRE into her massage practice and has had remarkable results guiding clients in this restorative self-care practice.

TRE alone is a revelation, but the way Colleen combines TRE with massage is a small miracle. When Colleen facilitates a short TRE session pre-massage, she helps me shake loose layers of tension and create a safe, calm space within myself. Colleen’s TRE massages begin where other massages end.
Colleen is one of the most skilled massage therapists I’ve ever worked with. She introduced me to the idea of combining TRE and massage to help me dissipate the stress I’m constantly carrying in my body. I’ve tried many modalities—acupuncture, chiropractic and physical therapy—and nothing has proven so effective in treating my pain and stress as the combined treatments of TRE and massage.
Colleen helped me feel safe and comfortable during my first TRE session, where I could feel tremors traveling up, down, and around my legs! After tremoring I had a feeling of peace and quiet throughout my body. I call TRE “tension relief exercises,” and now use this technique at night to help me sleep better and longer. I highly recommend it.
